*Summary of Position:*
The In-Process Sanitation is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility during the production shifts.
This position must be able to work in such a manner to comply with company sanitary policies and procedures.
This position must be able to work in a hot or cold, soiled and wet environment continuously.
The In-Process Sanitation personnel reports to the Production Department.

· Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer and production area.
*Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:*
1.
Cleanliness of the Facility:
a.
Responsible for picking up product debris and garbage from the floors.
b.
Remove and empty trash containers
c.
Exchange vegetable waste bins as needed.
(When bins are full of product, they need to be exchanged with empty bins)
d.
May be required to was/clean waste bins when needed
e.
Rinse belts as needed using proper sanitation tools.
f.
May be required to sweep and/or mop the floors.
g.
May be required to clean boots, and other PPE equipment.
h.
May be required to squeegee water buildup in the Raw Cooler Area.
2.
Remove condensation from walls, ceilings and equipment.
a.
Required to use tools to remove condensation buildup on electrical panel, walls, ceilings and packaging equipment.
3.
Monitor Hand and Foot Bath Areas.
a.
Validate proper chemical levels in hand and foot baths in both prep rooms.
b.
Be able to document and record chemical levels, multiple times per shift.
c.
Keep all hand and foot baths free of vegetable debris and foreign material throughout the shift.
4.
Work Safely:
a.
Wear appropriate personal protection equipment as needed for assigned tasks.
b.
Report un-safe conditions.
c.
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
5.
Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader or Production Supervisor.
*Qualifications:*
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
· General understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours when needed.
· Understand basic food safety practices (GMP’s).
· Knowledge and ability to operate basic tools, pallet jacks, etc.
*Physical Requirements:*
1.
Must be able to work in a hot/cold, soiled and wet environment continuously.
2.
Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, respiratory protection, gloves, boots, aprons and/or rain suits may be required to be worn.
3.
Ability to constantly or continuously:
a.
Handle material from floor to waist level.
b.
Walk or Stand for extended periods.
c.
Bend, extend or twist neck and back.
d.
Frequently grip, reach, lift or pull equipment.
4.
Ability to handle or be in contact with sanitation or cleaning chemicals.
5.
Frequent climbing of stairs
