*Job Description*
*Position Title:* Afterschool Teacher
*Description:*
We are looking to add a qualified, passionate, energetic individual to our Santa Cruz Garden's Elementary afterschool program.
Our afterschool program staff teach a variety of enrichment activities at local elementary schools.
Teachers lead activities in sports, art, science, music, homework assistance, and more to children in grades TK-5th grade.
The hours for this position are:
M-TH 12:30pm-6:00pm, F 10:15am-6:00pm, 29.
25 hours a week
*Applicants Need:*
Must have previous experience working with elementary aged children in a group setting for a minimum of six months (150 hours), a licensed program is preferred.
Ability to plan and implement activities for groups of up to 14 children.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, strong communication skills, commitment to the welfare of children and their families, ability to give and receive feedback positively, ability to respond quickly and decisively in critical situations, ability to work with diversity, possess the physical strength and abilities to perform job duties and strong social skills.

*Education and Experience*
· Minimum of 12 semester (18 quarter) units in ECE, CD, Education, Art, Music, Dance, PE, Theater Arts, Psychology, Sociology, Art, Social Services, or Physical Education.
·At least 6 months (150 hours) experience working with children in a licensed childcare, camp, or elementary school setting
