Cellar Technician

We are a full-service custom-crush winery producing over 35,000 cases per year, located in the Santa Clara Valley and hosting a number of Bay Area premium wineries.
We are looking for a cellar technician who enjoys a team-oriented, hands-on working environment.
The qualified candidate will be involved in all aspects of wine production with a wide range of varietals and production practices, so this position is a great opportunity for growth in the wine industry and to make an impact on the wine quality of the wineries served.
Training will be provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Sanitation * Grape processing * Wine/must movements * Wine/must additions * Cap management (punchdowns/pumpovers) * Fermentation monitoring (Brix/temp) * Barrel sanitation * Tank/press dig outs and cleaning QUALIFICATIONS: * At least one harvest’s worth of experience is preferred, but not required * Reliability * A positive, can-do attitude * Ability to work both independently and as a team member * Ability to perform the physical labor necessary, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Be able to work and stand for up to 12 hours a day, up to 5 days a week during the peak of the harvest season (September and October).
* Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements Job Types: Part-time, Temporary Pay: $20.
