*Summary of Position:*
This role will lead, direct, and assist the sanitation team in the cleanliness of the facility during the production shifts and assist with programs related to sanitation.
The Sanitation Lead must be able to work in such a manner to comply with all company sanitary policies, procedures, and must be able to work in a hot or cold, soiled, and wet environment continuously.
Dependability and flexibility are essential in this role.

· Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer, and production area.
*Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:*
· Lead and assist with the cleaning and organization of the facility,
· Lead and assist with the sanitation of processing equipment and utensils.
· Lead and assist with the sanitation In-Process cleaning.
· Work and coordinate with all departments to address the sanitation needs of areas required.
· Provide job specific, and safety training to the sanitation team as required.
· Complete sanitation records as needed.
Verify sanitation records are completed by other sanitation team members.
· Oversee and assist with all applicable chemical verification and testing.
· Perform applicable utensil, equipment and building inspections as needed.
· Operate an electric pallet jack to remove waste as needed.
· Able to communicate effectively; notify management of potential food safety, and safety issues as needed.
· Conduct periodic inspections, and correct any findings as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Able to work independently, follow directions and lead others.
· General understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment.
· Able to work within a flexible schedule and overtime hours as needed.
· Understand basic food safety practices (GMP’s).
· Knowledge and ability to operate basic tools, pallet jacks, etc.
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
· Bilingual, Spanish
· Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Able to work with cleaning chemicals, identify issues, determine root cause, and provide input.
· Able to comprehend and comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs.
*Physical Requirements:*
· Must be able to work in a hot/cold, soiled, and wet environment continuously.
· Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, respiratory protection, gloves, boots, aprons and/or rain suits may be required to be worn.
· Ability to constantly or continuously:
o Handle material from floor to waist level.
o Walk or stand for extended periods.
o Bend, extend or twist neck and back.
o Frequently grip, reach, lift or pull equipment.
· Able to handle or be in contact with sanitation or cleaning chemicals.
· Frequent climbing of stairs and able to work in elevated areas.
