We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to oversee the operations of AJ’s Market and Natural Foods.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the overall store, maintaining high standards of customer service, managing inventory, supervising staff, and implementing strategies to drive sales and profitability.

AJ’s Market is a locally owned and operated store since 1987.
We are a unique grocery store that features fresh produce, locally baked bread, dry goods and a diverse dairy selection.
We offer a wide range of organic produce, gluten-free products, and international cuisine.
Our store also has a gas station and car wash to truly make this a one stop shop.
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee nighttime operations of the store including propane tank closing procedure.
Manage inventory for the food market, including stocking and rotation of products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the premises.
Lead and manage the team.
Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Train staff to deliver outstanding customer service experiences.
Staff Management:
Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues in a timely manner.
Financial Management:
Monitor store to manage theft.
Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Marketing and Promotions:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase sales.
Plan and execute promotions, discounts, and special events.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the retail grocery or convenience store industry.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
