We will share a very nice and spacious two-bedroom three-bathroom condo in Capitola (I am the only other person living here).
The house is bright with lots of natural light from windows and skylights.
It has quick access to Highway 1.
Walking distance to the Capitola Library, Capitola Beach, Capitola Mall, Trader Joes, Safeway, and 41st avenue shops; as well as and downtown Soquel.
There is also quick access to hiking, biking, and surfing.
The location is very serene, surrounded by trees and green space, with amazing afternoon light in your room and the common areas.
One mellow indoor cat is okay, but otherwise no pets please.
Rent is $1950 plus half of utilities and internet.
Deposit is $2000 with good credit.
You will have a medium sized bedroom (10 feet by 10.
5 feet), with a large mirrored closet and a sliding glass door that exits to a small private patio with succulents and roses planted around the edges.
The only reason I will go into the patio is to water the plants every couple weeks.
If you want to water, then I will not go into the patio area.
* You will have exclusive use of the large full bathroom in the pictures, which is next to your room.
It has a superb tile shower with a fancy shower-head and sliding glass doors.
Full vanity with medicine cabinet, drawers, and space beneath the sink (there are two other bathrooms in the house, but your bathroom is actually the nicest).
* There is space for you to park one car and there is additional guest parking.
* We will both use the “smart” front-loading washer and dryer in the pictures.
It is conveniently located a few steps from your room in the laundry closet.
* The kitchen is very nice with modern stainless steel appliances including a large fridge/freezer, four burner stove, dishwasher, oven, toaster oven, and water kettle.
I have pots and pans that you can use, as well as utensils, baking sheet, spatulas, can opener, etc everything you should need in the kitchen.
You can use everything in the kitchen, except a couple items that I would like you to ask before using (for example my cast iron skillet that is easy to mess up).
If you want to bring your own kitchen things, there is plenty of space in the cabinets.
There are plenty of empty shelves for you to store food.
We will split the large fridge and freezer space.
* There is a 65” smart TV in the living room, which you are welcome to use.
* We have a balcony with a BBQ overlooking green space, with a glimpse of Soquel Creek.
* On the roof is a deck with a few chairs to hang out.
It's nice and hot during the summer up there!
About Me:
I teach at a local school, usually waking up at 6:30 and out the door by 7:30am.
I usually get home in the afternoon and might work on school stuff, go hiking, prepare or cook meals, listen to music, or meet up with friends.
Bed time generally comes fairly early and I keep it pretty mellow.
I walk and hike and go backpacking a lot.
I also enjoy biking and surfing.
I am 420 friendly but it would be no problem for me to keep the smell out of the common areas.
About You:
You are a mature and reliably employed person.
You clean up after yourself in the kitchen and common areas.
You are a good communicator and are willing to talk about important things in the house like cleaning, respecting boundaries, expectations about our living situation, how we interact or need alone time as housemates, and other things that will come up.
