* For 25 years, the hostess/proprietor (who lives off-site) has provided a curated quality-living environment already well-stocked with the needs for a shared kitchen, laundry and bathrooms.
* Enjoy a comfortable living room and sunroom with wonderful Monterey Bay

* Respecting others by cleaning up after oneself is THE corner stone of the
oh, SO common sense House Rules.
* Cleaning compliance is observed by the proprietor on brief visits so that housemate quality of life is maintained for the majority.
HOUSE PROFILE:
There are 6 bedrooms - with 3 people (1- each ) on each of two floors.
* Top floor rooms are all filled.
Currently there are three men, one is employed at UCSC in his early 50's, one in his later 20's employed over the hill and one UCSC senior.
* Three middle floor rooms (of which this is one) are vacant after this summer's completion of floor refinishing and upgrades.
Privacy between these 3 bedrooms is accentuated due to solid core doors with sweep bottoms.
INCLUDED:
* Xfinity Pro - (fastest residential) both internet and Xfinity cable recordable 39" flat screen TV in living room, 3- Google mesh Nests (fastest wireless you've ever experienced).
* Both the bi-monthly clean crew for common areas and the proprietor who does deeper cleaning, and empties the trash and recycling so waste doesn't pile up.
* Utilities of water, garbage and those increased rates for PG&E on tap for this winter.
* On call proprietor via text for any questions A-Z and/or repairs with assistance of handyman.

* Right next door - shared with only 1 other bedroom across the hall.
* Tile floor, vanity with storage, medicine cabinet, tall shower spray on hose.
* Toilet paper supplied for shared bathrooms.
* Paper towels provided so the sink can be wiped clean as needed - as in shaving.
BOTTOM LINES:
* First, last and an additional $1,000 security deposit required.
* First deposit of $350 applied to the security - holds the room/remove the ad from Craigslist.
* Proof of income.
* No 1-year lease offered as both parties to the Lease must be satisfied prior to one year.
* Longer term is always a plus as it means less turnover/less administrative duties.
* Ask about bedroom furnishings available.
* House rules are that you MUST (perfection not required) clean up after yourself or you DO "get voted off the island.

* Any immodest alcohol or recreational drug behavior that impacts the house negatively such as you forget to clean up after yourself or do not follow other House Rules means you leave sooner than you might wish.
* We seek those who stay considerately quiet (no banging of pots and pans) in the kitchen after 10pm from Sunday night to Thursday nights.
This rule helps those bedrooms next to the kitchen as well as also below the kitchen floor.
* When you respond, please don't forget to tell me date of desired move, how long you expect to need a room, if you have a vehicle, if you have a bike, and need bedding plus other furnishings.
