Job Summary: The Business Development Manager, FDM role is responsible for overseeing all assigned FDM (Mass) accounts.
The Sales Manager is responsible for understanding and managing assigned territory to maximize and grow sales by selling Nordic Naturals products to existing accounts and by acquiring new accounts.
This position requires 50% travel.
Work requires substantial knowledge of all products, respective product categories, strong communication and relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic planning and account development to grow sales with existing and new customers Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Support and grow business in existing accounts through successful account partnership and utilization of marketing programs Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business Responsible for account promotional planning, new and existing item sell in and merchandising enhancements where appropriate Monitor day-to-day business and sales metrics Monitor market conditions, competitive opportunities and product innovations providing feedback to the Director of FDM and leadership team when necessary Analyze account sales data, market conditions and events, customer issues and competitive intelligence.
Utilize data to drive sales planning, forecasting, and ROI Represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings and other venues as requested Offer strategic feedback and support to accounts Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers Utilize co-op advertising and promotional budget to partner with accounts to increase sales Maintain and organize all category review periods for FDM & Specialty accounts and drive business forward accordingly Responsible for assisting with contract negotiations and business planning Identify, approach and cultivate potential new strategic partners in the FDM & Specialty Channel Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and sales forecasts Propose and coordinate new product rollouts and gap opportunities for FDM & Specialty Accounts as well as manage approvals and placements with all associated accounts in the channel Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet account needs Achieve and surpass assigned sales and performance objectives Monitor sales performance metrics Create and oversee conventional channel growth and business plans and revise and reassess as necessary Assist Sales Managers and Director managing and overseeing yearly promotional budgets, sales goals and other applicable reports necessary for growing and maintaining the business Identify, develop and coordinate retail promotional opportunities in conjunction with allocated trade spend, budget and company policies Assess marketing potential of new and existing store locations, considering statistics and expenditures Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams Advise accounts on policies and procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business Help oversee assigned FDM & Specialty broker network and recruit new brokers when necessary Represent company at trade association meetings and other key account venues to promote products Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service Other duties as assigned Key Contributions in First Year: Identify, approach and cultivate potential new strategic partners in the FDM & Specialty Channel Develop a strong working rapport with the FDM broker/distributor team implementing clear consistent communication to help ensure category review meetings are set and new retail partners are achieved Analyze current accounts trade spend/budgets to help team deliver 2024 goals Brainstorm and collaborate with team members to develop useful tools, solutions and strategies that will elevate the team and benefit retailers.

Detail Oriented – Must be able to review/execute budgets, expense plans, forecasts, manage trade spend, broker contracts, promotional plans, category review meetings ensuring accuracy as well as managing and executing any additional project deadlines.
Skills & Abilities Computer Skills: Must be proficient with MS Office and have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience with DAAP, Smartsheet, Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, Zoom, and Destini preferred Other Requirements: 3-5 years outside sales/territory/broker management experience in FDM and E-tail channels preferred Experience with selling Natural Channel products a plus Pay, Benefits & Perks: The estimated annual pay for this role is $95,000 to $115,000.
This pay is an estimate and the exact compensation may vary depending on an applicant's location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Additional compensation may also include incentive compensation (i.
e.
bonus or commission) if applicable.
