Wharf Retail Sales Associate/Cashier

We are a local family-owned gift shop located on the Santa Cruz Wharf.
We're looking to add to our team of Sales Associates – below are some details on the position.
Sales Associates will greet customers on arrival and assist customers with any questions they have about the purchase they want to make or other issues that may arise.
Ideally, the candidate will have previous customers service experience, excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to the position quickly.
Some of the responsibilities include: * Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.
* Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
* Achieving established goals.
* Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
* Increasing in-store sales.
* Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.
* Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
* Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.
