Job Summary The Class 3 Filter Operator/Tank Attendant has the primary responsibility to efficiently supply clarified juice to the bottling lines while maintaining tanks, juice lines and related equipment in sanitary and good working order.
Job Functions Maintain equipment in a sanitary condition and good working order, and maintain adequate inventory of spare parts utilizing the Parts Requisition Form.
Process heavy juice solids (lees) for gradual blending into regular production.
Transfer juice between plants as needed as directed by Supervisor.
Utilize dust collecting system when mixing diatomaceous earth, making sure the system is powered down during clean up, performing assigned preventative maintenance and reporting any malfunction immediately to Supervisor.
Accurately complete all documents or input data into the system as required for Quality Assurance information as instructed by Supervisor or Quality department personnel.
Accurately log production data such as gallons produced, gallons filtered, and supplies used daily; complete all CIP and productivity worksheets and/or input data into the system as required.
Coordinate with Supervisors, Press Operators, and shift filtration personnel for daily production requirements.
Process and document or input into system all activities and usage data related to blending process.
Job Qualifications Have good working knowledge of diatomaceous earth and membrane filters, HTST (High Temperature-Short Time) system, pumps, connecting piping and CIP (Clean in Place) sanitation procedures, etc.
Maintain a work area in compliance with our 5-S principles, and participate on continuous improvement activities.
Ability to accurately and timely process documentation related to PPJ tanker receipts.
1-2 years experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing/production environment.
Ability to work all shifts.
Must meet employment eligibility in the U.
S.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Skills (Not Required) Bilingual (English/Spanish).
