Mixing Tech Internship / Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Internship

We are looking to train candidates with a certified pharmacy tech license or in the process of obtaining a license.
If you are interested in learning how to mix IV drugs including chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy drugs, and dispensing chemo and non-chemo oral prescriptions, feel free to apply to gain hands on experience! You will have the opportunity to learn the following: prepare chemotherapy medications for oncology patients maintain a sanitary work environment and patient area manage and restock pharmaceutical inventory maintain records for patient doses and drug mixtures reconcile doses with billing documentation tracking of daily acuity ordering supplies for unit manage pharmacy software speak with insurance companies regarding prescriptions communicate with patients regarding prescriptions complete daily cleaning duties to a high degree of satisfaction Requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively Knowledge of Infection control/infection prevention guidelines Ability to understand and follow instructions from providers and employees Ability to correctly calculate measurements and dosages Knowledge of sterile techniques Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety precautions applicable for work in clinic settings Ability to document and maintain patient records Ability to efficiently use computers for multiple job functions Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve problems Please email resume for consideration for this position.
